We learned of About You Family Medicine through a business association my husband is a part of. At the time, we were... finding ourselves without health insurance after 10+ years of amazing coverage due to our company’s contracts. When we left that company and started our own business, quality insurance exceeded our budget, big-time. So, finding a primary care doctor’s office that works with its patients to provide quality services at low cost, including the option of a monthly membership at the office, as well as agreements and partnerships with every field of medicine to provide labs, tests, imaging, etc. at a contract rate instead of an inflated healthcare rate was very appealing. My husband joined right away. I was hesitant because my son and I have myriads of chronic health issues and, at the time, had 4-5 specialists EACH. Why did we need primary care? But, the kids and I eventually enrolled, and I have never looked back. Dr. Sanders makes a special effort to be available to his patients as needed, including urgent care services; he takes his time with each patient and really listens; he is well-versed in his field and always well-prepared, but he allows patients to play an integral role in deciding next steps. Their office has a formulary, so they can directly dispense the majority of RX’s at a very affordable cost. If they don’t have the medicine you need, they’ll order it for you! They treat all ages. We have used our membership fully every month, taking advantage of all of the already included services with that. Allie, the amazing administrator, office manager, and nurse is the sweetest, most genuine, abundantly caring and helpful person. Together, she and Dr. Sanders make an incredible team. This is definitely the place for you If: 1. You need a primary care to partner with and collaborate with your specialists and/or you want to consolidate and use your specialists less, and/or 2. You don’t have health insurance and need low cost alternatives. (They also do accept most insurance plans). 3. You have chronic health issues or get hurt alot and want to avoid the ER. 4. You’re sick of the impersonal nature of most medical offices, and you want a personal experience in which you know YOU are the priority. 5. You want a medical professional who is reachable in your time of need and able to provide insight and advice during those times. Regardless, give it a shot. I promise you won’t be disappointed. I was skeptical at first, but now, this is the best office and group of people ever. I have been coming for several... years. I have medical insurance with a high deductible and no co-pay. I will have that for any major events, but it is great to have this for just a monthly payment, whether I come once a month..... or every day they are open.read more

I recently moved out of state, & was so sad to leave Dr. Sanders. He was the only doctor I’ve ever had who took so much... time with me during my visits. No matter what I saw him for, he always made me feel comfortable with any diagnostics and/or treatment decisions. I feel that he really wanted to understand my history, which is complex. I had a recently diagnosed (prior to starting to see him) unusual condition, & I appreciated that he was humble enough to admit that there was probably a specialist who could help me more than he could…& right away he let me know options. Not only was he sensitive to locations & what my travel time might be, he also reminded me to check with my insurance as well as well as asking for cash pricing with specialists (since sometimes it’s more reasonable to do that).Whether it’s on the phone or in person, I adore Chelsea! She is the perfect combination of professionalism and warmth. From my perspective, she ran everything in the clinic, front to back, so seamlessly…busy, but never appearing frazzled, & always taking the time to ask me how I was doing. She genuinely cares about patients, & clearly loves what she does there. Plus we always chatted about life in general…& shoe sales. LolI encourage anyone interested in learning about DPC to go visit. It was my first experience with it, & I feel so blessed for it. There’s no pressure, & you’ll leave feeling listened to & cared for. I needed just a physical and called ahead to find out the cost and when i got to the office they acted as if they had... no idea what I was talking about and said they only offer membership visits and said they don't take checks and that I would have to schedule another appointment for something when that was one of the original reasons I made the appointment. When Lisa finally came back to the room she had an attitude and was blaming me for the miscommunication. I ended the appointment because I couldn't tell her anything with how uncomfortable she had made me. She argued back and forth with me about my appointment time and stormed up front to try to get the other nurse to side with her. I don't know if she's experiencing pregnancy hormones and taking it out on other people or what but that was the worst doctors visit I've had to date. I left after an hour of wasting my time.read more

I’ve been seeing Lisa at About You and she is so kind and patient! I didn’t take care of my health in my 20’s and was... anxious because of judgement I’ve received from other doctors in the area. It's 8:24AM, I'm back in my car. I had an 8:15AM follow up appointment for a vitamin shot. In less than 10 minutes I... was greeted, escorted back to a room, administered my shot and ready to get on with my day. For regular visits however, Dr. Sanders does not rush things. He and Chelsea are thorough and are willing to answer any questions you may have. I have been a patient for a few months and can really see the value in the monthly investment. Inexpensive blood work, built in pharmacy for extremely affordable medicine, and great service are just part of the package. Feeling good about taking care of myself without breaking the bank is the cherry on top!read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Sanders since 2019. He's an amazing doctor. He gives you treatments that are needed and he's... someone that cares. He's way cheaper than having insurance and gives you 1on1 care. You can call and text him whenever and he tries his best to help you. I have nothing but great things to say. The nurses Allie and Chelsea are amazing as well and they do a fantastic job. Great environment. I had my first visit to Dr. Sanders' office and I was very pleased with the professionalism and comfort of the office... and especially how I was cared for by him and RN, Chelsea. The office environment was exceptionally clean and organized. I felt like his only patient though I know I'm not. I look forward to this experience as a much better alternative to the over booked offices with overwhelming patient loads, and docs that don't spend much time with you as in Wellstar and other managed care operations. Being able to actually get a same day/next day appointment is unheard of today, yet that's what Dr Sanders and his team strive to do. So far, so good! 👍🏽read more

Dr. Sanders is simply the best physician I’ve encountered. Unlike many doctors (who typically see you for a quick... second, draw their medical conclusion(s), and then tell you exactly what will be done), Dr. Sanders explains the situation/issue, communicates the potential options to address the situation/issue, and then asks what YOU would like to do…or how YOU would like to proceed (including likely cost $ of each option, potential hassle involved, expectations, etc.)On top of that, his office staff is world-class —Chelsea is always there for patients when needed, she’s always on top of everything, and the staff just treats patients with respect and kindness (unusual these days, but they actually treat patients like customers; just old-fashioned excellent “customer” service).Bottom line: It’s so refreshing to find a medical provider who truly is “about you” instead of simply barking orders for what they think is best.Give Dr Sanders a try — I can be a tough critic, and I try to “call things like I see them” — as I cannot recommend Dr. Sanders highly enough and I am certain you will not regret it.read more

I love this office. From the time you step in the door, they make you feel at ease. I am a music lover, so that caught... my attention first! Chelsea is wonderful! She greet you and take you on a tour of the office. The wait time was minimal. Dr. Sanders is awesome! He sit down and really talk to you about what is going with you. He is truly invested. We love Dr Sanders and this practice. I started using Dr Sanders when I was an entrepreneur and didn’t have... comprehensive insurance. He provided excellent care to my family including my toddler daughter. I’ve since gone back to work and have great insurance but I’m still using Dr sanders. He is thorough and has the best customer service ever. Any time I have a concern I can text him and either gives me advice over the phone or suggests I come in.
